StartupWeekend’s sponsor, Google, will host a 54 hour weekend to help new ideas and new companies get off the ground. StartupWeekend says

Space will be limited this time around, and we will have to “cap” registration at 85 for the time being. There is a chance that a larger space at Google will become available, but we will not know this for sure until we are closer to the end of January.

In the event the larger space is free, we will re-open registration. Our site is “live” and I am pleased to see that tickets are already selling. The cost of attending is $39.99. As many of you know, the last time Startup Weekend was here in Seattle (January) it was a huge success.

Registration is still available at startupweekend.com, the best airfare prices can be found at kayak.com. Please let us know if you plan to attend. It would be cool to go just to see Google’s offices.

pairIncubator is a world-class, Web-based start-up incubation company developed by pair Networks, a global Internet services company (http://www.pair.com). We have over a decade of experience in hosting and developing Web-based technology and are now actively seeking out the best and brightest ideas that will transform the Internet as we know it.

I’m not endorsing their program, just letting you know it exists. Do your own research. In particular, be certain to protect any confidential intellectual property prior to disclosure.

If your idea is selected, pairIncubator will:

Set up the legal business entity

Get you started with hardware and workspace

Guide you through the development of your concept

Help you find venture capital (if your concept is good enough)

Of course, you have to live in Pittsburgh, PA during the twelve week session.
